Week 5 - Day 1

Welcome to the final chapter of study for 1 Peter! What a unique and wonderful journey this has been for me, and I hope it's been as equally exciting for you, too.

We will begin this week just as we have the others.

  • Pray - Ask God to bless your study of His word.
  • Read 1 Peter 5 - Read slowly and deliberately in your favorite translation.
  • Make a note of your first impressions of the chapter.
  • Reread 1 Peter 5 - Do you see any recurring themes that you found in the other chapters? What questions do you have as you read? Remember, today is our day to build context and gain some footing for understanding.
  • Comment - Tell us about your first impressions or wonderings.

    I think it is neat that here Peter, after having had denied even knowing Christ three times, is now encouraging other Christains to stand firm against persecution for their faith.
