WEEK 2

I just have a quick minute to check in and get us going on Week 2, but I just wanted to take a second to tell you how proud I am of you and how awesome it is to see Jesus in you. You guys are challenging me, and that is an enormous blessing in my life!

Okay, on to Week 2, Day 1!

Day 1
  • Pray - Invite God into your time with Him. Ask Him to keep distractions away, so that you can exist in His presence, only.
  • Read - Read 1 Peter 2. Read it aloud in your "go to" translation.
  • Read - Read 1 Peter 2 again, but this time in a new translation.
  • Note your 1st impressions - Today is our preview day. We are getting our footing in 1 Peter 2. What questions do you have? What did you notice? What are you wondering? What immediately jumped out?
  • Comment - If you feel comfortable, tell us about your first impressions. We'd love to share in your learning.

Okay, guys, I have to run. I'm headed home from the beach. I'll get the "Week at a Glance" up tomorrow.

Love you!

  1. Coming off of Week 1 and my action plan for application, I was not surprised that what jumped out at me was "Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles". Okay, Okay. I am getting the message! :)

  2. Wow! this chapter is chock full of things to convict me. I started off by looking up the word malice. I have a general knowledge of the word, but i wanted a specific meaning. It specifically means "the desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another". How many times in my own life have I let malice reign in my heart? I would love to say never, but the truth is I've had my share of bad thoughts and desires toward others. I think it's very fitting that this chapter starts by telling us to get rid of malice and ends by telling how Jesus didn't retaliate even when He was clearly in the right.
